From 30 May to 3 June, the World Canals Conference (WCC) will be held in the Congress Hall at Leipzig Zoo, and thus for the first time in Germany. Around 100 speakers from 20 nations on 4 continents will be taking a look at how waterways, tourism, regional development, flood and environmental protection and urban renewal can be efficiently promoted and how water and health can be thought of together in the midst of a far-reaching transformation process from lignite to a water landscape.

In the margin, representatives of the media will find important information, downloadable materials and further links for their research on the WCC.
Information for journalists / accreditation
A limited number of places will be available for print and radio journalists and camera teams during the conference programme and excursions. The selection will be made after receipt of the accreditation applications. After registering via the online form, you will be informed by eventlab about your registration. Please note that excursion places are limited and you will be informed accordingly after accreditation.
You will receive all your documents on site in the congress hall at the registration counter.
Photographers are allowed during the conference.
The conference language is English, the keynote lectures will be translated simultaneously.
Accreditation
Please note that accreditation can only be granted on a personal basis. Accreditation is for journalistic coverage only. Please have your press card or other suitable proof or references ready for this purpose.
